Welcome to RosieJanes. Here you will find more about my technique for creating fabric from photos. Using an App on my iPhone I convert a photo to design, such as a black & white pencil sketch, or other type of illustration, or even a pop-art design. I then print these designs on fabric, and use in quilts or other projects.
A photo “as-is” looks very out of place in a quilt but when it’s converted to a design, it “plays” well with the fabric. Once I have the design created, the fun part is coordinating it with other fabric and working it into various quilt patterns and layouts.
